Lattice Approach to Classifications
We present a translation of J. Barwise and J. Seligman’s Information Flow Theory into a lattice and Galois connection based formalism. We show how to transform the different structures of the theory into this formalism and show that this translation extends the expressivity of the theory.
متن کاملClassifications and volume bounds of lattice polytopes
In this licentiate thesis we study relations among invariants of lattice polytopes, with particular focus on bounds for the volume. In the first paper we give an upper bound on the volume vol(P∗) of a polytope P∗ dual to a d-dimensional lattice polytope P with exactly one interior lattice point, in each dimension d . This bound, expressed in terms of the Sylvester sequence, is sharp, and is ach...
متن کاملLymphoma - Classifications, & WHO Classifications
[as found here: http://www.medicalgeo.com/Med-Diseases-L/Lymphoma.html] Lymphoma A general term for malignancies of lymphocytes or, more rarely, of histiocytes. Collectively, these cell types non hodgkins lymphoma symptoms of form the reticuloendothelial system and circulate in the vessels of the lymphatic system. Traditionally, Lymphoma is classified lymphoma cancer as Hodgkin's lymphoma, disc...
متن کاملPolyhierarchical Classifications Induced by Criteria Polyhierarchies and Taxonomy Algebra
A new approach to the construction of general persistent polyhierarchical classifications is proposed. It is based on implicit description of category polyhierarchy by a generating polyhierarchy of classification criteria. Similarly to existing approaches, the classification categories are defined by logical functions encoded by attributive expressions. However, the generating hierarchy explici...
متن کاملOn Classifications of Random Polynomials
Let $ a_0 (omega), a_1 (omega), a_2 (omega), dots, a_n (omega)$ be a sequence of independent random variables defined on a fixed probability space $(Omega, Pr, A)$. There are many known results for the expected number of real zeros of a polynomial $ a_0 (omega) psi_0(x)+ a_1 (omega)psi_1 (x)+, a_2 (omega)psi_2 (x)+...
